Tour Itinerary

1 Day 1 - Guwahati – Kaziranga

After breakfast tansfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the One Horn Indian Rhinoceros. Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort. Evening you may visit Orchid Park and the nearby Tea Plantations. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

2 Day 2 - Kaziranga National Park

Early morning explore Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant. Apart from world's endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tiger anywhere. Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of Birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we proceed for a jeep safari. Evening come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

3 Day 3 - Kaziranga National Park - Dirang (260 Km | 6 to 7 Hrs)

Start early in the morning for Dirang. On the way visit Orchid Research Centre Tipi, an orchidarium with about 10,000 orchid plants belonging to various genera and species. Arunachal has the largest range of orchids in the country. Continue your drive and do not forget to keep your cameras handy as you cross beautiful waterfalls and get some spectacular views. Enroute visit Nag Mandir. Arrive and check in to your hotel. After lunch visit the regional apple Nursery, kiwi farm, hot water spring, Sangti Valley and Dzong Fort. Overnight stay in Dirang.

4 Day 4 - Dirang –Tawang

At morning visit the Kiwi & Apple Gardens. After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river and inhabited by colorful tribes, proceed towards the Sela Pass(13703 ft) spend some lovely times by the paradise lake. Reaching Tawang (143 km, 7hrs) check in at Hotel Overnight at Tawang.

5 Day 5 - Tawang Local

After breakfast we have 2 options for the day. We can visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border) for which you will have to take permit from the DC office at Tawang on your own, Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake) and Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake). Please Note you will also have to take a local taxi in Tawang on direct payment basis to cover these places as our vehicles are not allowed. OR you may visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Singsor Ani Gompa, and Tawang War Memorial. Please Note It may not possible to cover all the places in a day in case you visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri lake. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight stay in Tawang.

6 Day 6 - Tawang – Bomdila

Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breath taking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at theJashwant Garh Indo Chinese War Memorial and down hill drive (185km, 7hrs) to Bomdila. Overnight at Hotel at Bomdila

7 Day 7 - Bomdila – Guwahati

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and proceed to Guwahati .Reached Guwahati check in at city hotel. Evening free for leisure. Over night at Guwahati.

8 Day 8 - GUWAHATI – SHILLONG

Morning after breakfast visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Templeon the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Pethas in the country. Later transfer to Shillong. Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’ is the capital city of Meghalaya. En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake. Reaching Shillong after 3 hours journey (approximately), we check-in at a city Hotel. After freshen up visit Cathedral of Marry & the Polo Ground. Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.

9 Day 9 - SHILLONG- CHERRAPUNJEE-SHILLONG

Morning after breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of 1 ½ hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. In Cherrapunji, we visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sisier falls,Mawsmai Caves,Rama Krishna Mission, Eco Park and the Thangkharang Park .Later back to Shillong.

10 Day 10 - Shillong - Dawki - Mawlynnong Village – Transfer to Guwahati

After breakfast visit Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in India. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. It is situated 90 kms. from Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Later transfer to Guwahati hotel. Overnight stay at Guwahati…

11 Day 11 - Guwahati local and drop at railway station

Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and visit local market at Guwahati , Kamyakha Temple, Guwahati Zoo And drive to Guwahati Railway Station for the onward journey… End of Services

Terms and Condition:

Booking
Your contract is with Maashree Tours and Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Maashree Tours and Travel.
Payments
For the services contracted, 40% advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.
Payment Options
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Rights to amend the itinerary if required
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalized. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well-being of our esteemed passengers.
Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure
1. In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
2. 30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
3. 20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
4. 14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
5. 10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
6. 07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above-mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Refund
In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
Our Liabilities & Limitations
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Maashree Tours and Travel act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them. All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well-being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary. We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment’s, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents. We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control. We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
Passports & Visas
To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.
Health
Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
Legal Jurisdiction
All the legal matter pertaining to the company will be decide under Siliguri Metropolitan courts.
